The practice that is now Elkton Eyecare began when Dr. Garner Downey opened his doors for the first time in 1950. Nineteen years later Dr. Robert Veith joined the practice and stayed until 2010. With the arrival of Dr. Lee Robertson, we hope to serve the community another 50 years.

Dr. Lee Robertson
Dr. Robertson is a third generation optometrist. After completing a degree in microbiology at Brigham Young University, he moved with his family to Memphis TN where he attended the Southern College of Optometry. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Southern College of Optometry he joined the military and began a tour of duty with the U.S. Army. While in the Army, Dr. Robertson provided comprehensive eye care to soldiers, their families, and retirees. He also provided pre- and post-operative care for refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK).
Dr. Robertson is coming to Elkton with a great desire to become a part of the community and settle down with his family. He is an Eagle Scout, and enjoys serving in his church and community. He also enjoys mountain biking, hiking, reading, and most of all spending time with his wife and children.
